The Hobbit Hole XXIV - Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
Please see our Hobbit Hole Troop Support project blog! ^

Posted on 08/24/2005 9:50:25 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Well I found it pretty laugh out loud funny previewing it by myself.

I am not sure trying to explain about Cutey Honey Live Action can count as 'defending honor' but I am glad to help ;D

Service is anything that is extra bonus, like a waitress that is fast and friendly. Service for fanboys... well do I really have to explain that? Usually it covers anything inhumanly bouncy or gravity defyingly revealing.

Far be it for me to not dissuade their insinuations even if they were not entirely inaccurate...

Wha?

I'm shocked, shocked that you'd think such things of me ;-)

(I told the people I'm driving that my car is a yaoi free zone)

Well, I'm back.

The doc referred me to an eye doctor...the same one that I saw when I hit myself in the eye with the electric plug. I'll be going to see him whenever I get the referral date.

It is unlikely, however, that I will get to use the Restasis. My doctor said side effects are horrible and it's too risky.

Likely they will do a permanent but reversible procedure called punctal occlusion. Punctal plugs are small “stoppers” placed inside the tear ducts, the small holes that drain the eye. By plugging these drainage openings, the tears stay on the eye longer.

Can they include an on/off switch like politicians and celebrities get?

Well...that sounds like not much fun short term, but better than something you'll have to deal with long term.

Keep us posted!

HA!!

Now that's funny.

Actually, I have "crying" tears. The tears that I don't have are "every day" tears. Apparently, they are two different things and are made up of different stuff. There is more lubricants in the every day tears and I don't have much at all.

Well, if it works I won't ever have to use eye drops again. Which would be nice. The ointment I use at night (which is really just petroleum jelly and mineral oil that can go inside the eye) is annoying, because if I gotta get up in the night for any reason, it's like looking through...well...vaseline!

I just didn't think the plugs sounded very pleasant to have done! Kinda like bamboo under your fingernails.

Heh! That's right! Crying tears can actually wash out all the lubricants in your eyes, making them even drying than before.

Hm...interesting that flaxseed oil is one potential fix. It sounds like your case is way too severe for that simple of a cure, but it's good info just the same.
