I wanna go home.

I want a job.

Maybe you two could work out a deal. Rosie... how'd you do in chemistry class?

Heh...even if it was my best subject (I don't remember much, but I think I did OK), it'd be a bit of a long commute.

Oh, and Radio Shack is out. I did well in the little interview, but they also make you take a personality profile test...statements like "I never get angry" and you have to check agree or disagree. Also stuff like "Low pay can cause honest people to steal," and "Most people cannot be trusted." Fun stuff.

And apparently I flunked that part. I dunno whether they stamped me as not outgoing enough or naive or psycho or what, but they said they couldn't interview me further as I didn't meet their profile.

I gotta wonder just how many folks find out what it is they're looking for and answer accordingly. Do they really take those as gospel truth? Apparently.

HUH? Kinda makes me wonder just what type of person DOES fit their profile.

What? You know... I took one of those once, and I don't think I passed either. I'd try to find out why.

Mornin, Ruthy! Fixing to get Clare up. She has Physics Lab in an hour! I think she was up late on her computer typing her Lab notes.

Hey, you remember a long time ago you saw a picture of my front door and told me I should get a different door because someone could break in through the glass? Last night I dreamed someone broke in and I heard them and I ran in to find their hand sticking through the glass trying to unlock the door. I had my ShootMoot knife and I cut the person's thumb off. They ran off.

Then I put the thumb in a baggie of ice. I didn't get around to calling 911 before I woke up but I intended to call 911 and tell them I had the thumb, if anyone from a local hospital should come in and need it.

Heh!

I think I dreamed this because 1) you told me my door wasn't safe and 2) Steve came close to cutting his thumb off when he butchered that chicken.

I dunno. I don't know which questions it was that I musta answered "wrong". I generally believe most people mean well...maybe that's my problem? I'm not cynical enough? Or...maybe it's that I admitted to not liking being in crowds "always". I dunno.

I'm not sure whether to find the whole thing funny or to be really bummed that I can't even get a job at a store.

Best Buy and Circuit City have something similar in their on-line application. Maybe that's why they never called me back, either.

I can try...but the guy basically said "there's not much about the results that I can tell you".

It was a message. I don't have their phone number. I could stop by the store, but that seems a bit...I dunno...desperate or pushy.

Not that it matters anymore, but...

Oh dear...that's a bit frightening!

I, on the other hand, dreamed about sharing chocolate cream pie with my Dad and a couple of younger siblings. And running around in the woods back home.

Considering lately I keep havin' nightmares, that was a rather nice change.

Mmmm...chocolate cream pie.

I'm surviving, chicas. :-D

Still in limbo as far as moving out goes. Part of me wants to walk out the door and never look back, but the other (stronger) part of me cannot leave my mom while she is still injured. ~sigh~

I feel pretty trapped and miserable.

I can't afford to move into my own apartment (the cheapest one-bedroom place I found in a decent neighborhood wants $2500.00 in move-in costs and $900.00 a month thereafter). It's just too expensive here.

My other choice is to move in with Glen and his mom. That has it's own problems since obviously that would mean I'd be "back with Glen". We're oil and water, as experience has shown us time and again. We've repeatedly tried to work things out, but it's never worked.

He wants to play in his band, bowl twice a week and do what he wants when he wants to - while I'm stuck being the full-time parent. If I'm gonna raise the girls alone anyway, I'd rather do it without the aggravation of our arguments.

Besides that, the house is very small and most of my stuff would have to go into storage indefinitely. The house needs a lot of work and I'd be living in a construction zone with 2 kids - not appealing.

His mom is the one watching Aly right now, so I'm considering transferring Becky into the elementary school near their house so I don't have to run around town all morning before heading to the office.

I've exhausted myself trying to figure out what to do next.

I don't know what to do. And it's driving me nuts.
