Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I thought about grabbing it, but it seemed dishonest, considering I was the one what stuned the thread.

The thread needed a stune-up.
My hat needs a foil change.
That's not punny.
To: RosieCotton
My turn to stune the thread.

Okay, NOW what's going on.
Started happening when I'd go to the National Hurricane Center website, now it's happening here.
Page will load okay, then all of the sudden text wrap is gone and the end of the paragraph stretches over to the nayber's house...so to speak.
Be they another gremlin in my system?

If it's a problem with code on NHC's site and they copied and pasted the source code into the FR post, yep, that could be it.
And if you got pinged to it, your My Comments page is gonna be wobbly until it's off screen. Goody!
Shall we post nonsense at you to help?

Well, that must be it. Stops when I change comments from full to brief.
Thanks for the help. ;-)

Shall we post nonsense at you to help? Well, nonsense is always welcome. But I'm okay if I switch from full to brief on the comments page.

Speaking of irritating and wobbly...has Ophelia made up her mind what she wants to do yet?

Heh...the good thing about only getting 20 posts on your page is that the problem post is gone.

Good to be prepared.
If she keeps spinning, though, maybe she'll finally just meander back out to sea. < /wishful thinking >

Evening, went for our usual evening walk with gypsygirl and ran into one our dog walking friends. She has mixed shitzu type dog and he and gypsy just sit while we visit.
Reason number 10 to reconsider putting in a pet door. She has one and her dog jumped on the bed Saturday morning very early. She got up and followed the dog into the living room where he pointed to the couch. A cat had come in and had five kittens on the couch. So she called animal control and later rented a stanley steamer unit. Guess one never knows what the 'morrow shall bring. :-)

Was it HER cat?
In other news here, s-i-l has said she cannot come up and stay with the boys and Nana whilst we go to Kentucky next week. So I'm going alone.
FWIW, s-i-l doesn't work and has no kids at home. She doesn't want to come because Nana makes her work while she's here.
~sigh~
g'nite folks.
