I live right outside Enumclaw and worked there in town for some 10 years. There have been published reports and names of men, in the paper there, who were sneaking in to goat pens and having sex with the goats - back then. We used to laugh about it all the time.
It's a good place though. Good people.

The big story from the perspective of this Washington resident is the fact that BESTIALITY IS LEGAL IN THIS STATE! A good thing for the liberals in this state; otherwise they'd never get laid.

But because Washington is one of 17 states that does not outlaw bestiality, having sex with a horse is not a crime and his death will not be investigated. In Washington, the common law supplements the criminal code. If under the common law, such acts were illegal, and I can't imagine they weren't, such people could actually be prosecuted. ,p. This presents quite a quandry for the peo-homosexual marriage crowd.; one raised by conservative Shristians. if homosexual marriage is allowed, there really would be no justification to make beastiality illegal. Both are condemned by the Bible and virtually all cultures throughout the history of the world.

Uncle Joe, covering this story would be a cinch for any reporter saddled with the responsibility. But I think Congress should gallop into this mess. Barney Frank should definitely mount an investigation here. Once that boy gets the bit in his teeth there's no stopping him. The thought of a unique sex-related crisis, with which he and his stablemate actually had nothing to do, should spur him into action.
But if a reporter started feeling his oats, his editor should certainly be able to rein him in. After all, if the story is no good, he could always give him the boot, especially if he tried to jockey the story around to some agenda or other.
One other burr under my saddlecloth: How many times did this horse vote for Christine Gregoire? It seems in focusing on this tragic case, the press has locked the barn after the horse was stolen, and definitely after the legit voters of Washington received the same treatment as the deceased caballero.

Do you think this may have been the cause of the animal mutilations I remember reading about several times in the past from the Enumclaw area?

After he pulls his pants up? Some reporters might have been next in line.
Not that I have little respect for most reporters

How do you report a story about a man who dies while having sex with a horse? With a snigger? Or straight? Based on this specific story, I would say reporting it "straight" is out of the question.
