Works for me!!!
That's my favorite dinner, especially fresh Maine lobsters....with lots of butah. : )
Yeah, I was on that thread earlier today....lots of people didn't think it was a slur or didn't realize it could be interpreted as a slur, which surprised me.
You OK? Your butah looks a little drawn...
it's just the LonGIsland coming out in me, lol!
Time to go rescue the kid from the eeeeeeevil slime mom.
BBL...
I so amazed the more the loonies yell PC, the more it seems we are going backwards!
see you later, nully...be nice now! : )
this world's gone topsy-turvy, that's for sure.
What did you do with BQ?
Heard nary a word from her all day; I think she's been very busy at work and home....
I can't imagine myself been part of the story
This story raised questions how are they labling other kinds of people!
Years ago tables were given #'s not a profile!
yep; of course, I think the point here, too, is the guy didn't just have it written on the check...it was also on his credit card receipt/invoice, which he received several weeks later.
However, I've never received original/duplicate receipts from point of sale in the mail from my credit cards.
I thought that practice was a thing of the past.....literally
He must have inquired from his card company...
But I have got a copy from the eatery for what I have signed for!
I really see no logical reason for it!
To lable strangers with out cause is being jugdemental or formed an oppinion!
My thougths would be are they easy to service or very particular, or a slob etc not races or creed!
apparently it isn't. I don't understand why everybody has to be cut up and dissected and put into boxes and labeled!
when I waited tables while putting myself through college, that's all I did, is write the table number down. I didn't write notes on the checks, to myself or anyone else, about their color of skin, length of nose, whether their hair was balding, or grey, or absent....there was no purpose to do so. We knew our stations, and everyone knew the table numbers, which never changed.
When there was a large party, otoh, I would place the orders around an imaginary table, so I'd remember who got what....and then only might I have put something down like, "man with blue shirt" or "baby" as the place where I start; from there I'd go around clockwise, "seating" them around the table, regardless of the order in which they ordered.
Many times, I'd get repeat customers, asking to sit in my section, and oftentimes, they'd get similar meals every time. I also knew who wanted and drank lots of coffee.
There was an older gentlemen who'd come over to me, wherever I was taking an order, from wherever he was sat, and give me a hard time, telling me not to be mean to my customers....like I am to him....and they'd all laugh.
One time he asked me to marry him (he was joking)....and I told him, I couldn't that day, but the following day my schedule was clear. He laughed at that, too.
Whether or not you know what you're doing, there's no need to identify somebody by their race/skin color. Anyways, that's my 2 cents.
