Any other Young (High School/College) FReepers?

Any other young FReepers out there? I know of a few, but I'm sure there are many others. So, if you fit the mold, speak up, there are probably more of us than we realize.

I'm currently banned from talking about conservatism at school until I agree that constant use of the word 'moron' isn't necessary in political debate. But there are so very many more colourful words you can use! And your teacher probably won't have the nerve to reprimand you for using such words... when they have to look them up first ;o)

That's all fine, but a few problems.
1. So far we have one person who wants on
2. We have a ping list, but what's it for? Articles about teens spending too much time on the computer? Articles about teens playing with guns? You have to have a purpose

I wish I could be on the list, but I'm pushing 36 or 37. I lost count back in the '90s. That's called 50s ;o>

As it is I might get a bit of a jump. It's looking like I could start taking duel credit courses in 11th grade

BTW, don't know if you noticed, the code on your "about" page didn't work. If you want to put a background on, you can see
this thread, pretty strait-forward, don't know of any other way

I think you were talking to me, not Asphalt.
My mentor is a freeper so I think he knows what the place is like, and I've been reading it for a long time, but he just thinks kids should be very careful about joining anything online - he's been softening about FR for months, this thread just finally got him to admit defeat!

We have a ping list, but what's it for? Articles about teens spending too much time on the computer? Articles about teens playing with guns? You have to have a purpose If it is something you really want to do, here are a few pointers (IOW, this is how I created the Mom/Dad ping lists):
Post a thread similar to what you have here in News/Activism. Networking with conservatives of a specific age group is certainly activism, so you won't (or shouldn't) get any crap from the "Wrong forum" nuts. You're a lot more likely to get attention in News.
Second, flesh out why it is that you're interested in having a ping. Will you be starting a weekly age-based, common interest thread? Will the ping be used specifically for pinging to relevant articles? List, for yourself, why you would want to have this ping; share that list with others, see if they're interested. You might not want to even worry about a ping list just yet. Maybe just run a thread like this in News, asking certain-aged FReepers to share their experiences as young conservatives. There are a whole lotta ways for people to be politically involved and active, regardless of their age, and some folks may be involved in things that others simply are not aware of. Pardon my syntax, just got back from Niagara (oy!)
Whatever you decide to do, have fun with it. Best of luck!

Many of my colleagues are conservative or moderate. The ones who are liberal are in the moonbat category.
