I was just sitting here thinking about a 1500 mile drive I have to make, and contemplating burning a couple CDS for the drive. I found some music that would make it more interesting but not enough. So here is the question.
If you were going to drive from Phoenix to Indy, you were in a sports car, what music would you want to have on your cd?
You can hear him jam with Gov't Mule on "The Deepest End"CD.His slide guitar work on 30/20 Blues is something to behold.That's where I got introduced to his music.
Fahrenheit Project Part 5, and anything by Steve Roach
Tina Turner's greatest hits. And of course, anything by The Beatles for nice sing along songs.
I never go anywhere without my Hilary Duff CDs (just kidding!).
Cool. Another Tangerine Dream listener. Stratosfear is awesome, but my favorites are Phaedra, Rubycon, and Ricochet.
Baroque music, for some reason, gets on my nerves while I'm driving! It's great for relaxing at home while reading a good book and drinking something other than Zinfandel (couldn't resist, sorry).
But at 70+ MPH, I like the raw emotive power of Beethoven, Bruckner, and the Russian composers, especially the piece by Shostakovitch. It's fun to pass cars and trucks and dodge deer and possums while pretending to be a saber-wielding cossack scattering peaceful peasants in the Palace Square!

Really? I love it! All the time! I have no problem doing 80 while listening to it.
I don't really get a lot out of the Russians, usually.

Little Feat's "Let it Roll" is great for driving. Any of their stuff is.
Ian Moore's first album (that I know of) is good, too. Changes pace to keep you awake.
