I was just sitting here thinking about a 1500 mile drive I have to make, and contemplating burning a couple CDS for the drive. I found some music that would make it more interesting but not enough. So here is the question.
If you were going to drive from Phoenix to Indy, you were in a sports car, what music would you want to have on your cd?

I've found that audiobooks make a long trip go by much quicker. As far as music goes, The Sundays.

We also like to listen to books on CD when we're traveling. I don't know how people can do that while driving. I'd be asleep in 20 minutes!

I know you asked for the best "music" to drive by, but perhaps you might consider trying a book on tape, or cd, to break things up a bit. Just a thought....

Try any Ray Stevens stuff, especially "He Thinks He's Ray Stevens" and "Mississippi Squirrel Revival". You will laugh the miles away.

I'd suggest Allman Brothers-Eric Clapton - Me and Mr. Johnson.

No, not Tiffany for driving. Now, if you have her PLAYBOY issue, that can help pass the time as well. :o)
But FA has a Debbie Gibson tape he can let you borrow. ;o)

I was going to suggest any Rossini or Wagner overture -- especially if you are on open highways! You are right about "The William Tell Overture". "The Flight of the Valkyries" or the "Flying Dutchman" will put the pedal to the metal, too!
