Technologically it is the top service among the women's fighting forces, and it also has the appeal of propinquity to gallant young airmen.
--"After Boadicea -- Women at War," [2]Time Europe, October 9, 1939
I was stunned by the propinquity of the events: I had never been in the same room with anyone who was later murdered.

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
Yes, we have ovens and cars and all sorts of stuff. It's very kind of you, but don't bother, I probably wouldn't make them. Part of the yumminess was that you made them.
How is the ankle doing today? I did not find the experience of walking on crutches nice, either-it is as if you are constantly off balance.
Cut off the stem end and using a veg peeler, core out the inside making sure to get the membranes - stuff with ranch flavored (or any) creme cheese and wrap a piece of raw bacon around the pepper, being sure to cover the top to help keep some of the creme cheese inside while grilling -secure the bacon with toothpicks
If you can find a grilling dish to hold the peppers upright that is best (a friend made one by welding large hexhead thingys together - I bought a ready made iron piece with holes to fit the peppers in) --- you just grill until the bacon is done and the peppers soften a bit........
Another way to do them is to split the entire pepper in half, clean out and stuff then lay it on the side with creme cheese facing up (sorry but the canadian guy might be reading this and I have to be explicit..... you know canadians!) -
I promise, they are worth the effort - the only warning I give is to be sure your kitchen is ventilated while preparing the peppers - and I use thin plastic gloves while handling the peppers......
Excellent, as always
T - you can find the pepper holder at HEB - it was shaped like the State of Texas and holds about 20 peppers at a time - well worth the price - I've made them at least 3 times in the past month or so - they can also be broiled in the oven -
Awe, just when I gather the money to put a contract out on you, ya have to go and say something nice...........
The ankle, unfortunately is very achy today and having to wrestle with the dog when the guy from Dish TV showed up did not help matters any.
The crutches are driving me absolutely nuts, which is why I'm relying on my desk chair in the house. It gets me everywhere I need to go, except outside or the laundry room
Thanks-I've seen the pepper holder you're talking about at the HEB closest to me (in Boerne)-I'm working just outside Kerrville again tomorrow, and since Kerrville is where HEB originally started, I'll bet the main HEB store there has those holders.
You see, I'd have to go get some thin plastic gloves, it's too much trouble already. :^)
Oh, you poor thing-dogs are not fun to wrestle with under the best of circumstances, never mind while wearing a cast.
If you dyed your hair like women do, you'd have some thin plastic gloves...
I thought I heard someone say the other day that there is a bunco group in your neighborhood-do you play? There used to be one in the neighborhood I lived in in SA, but most of the players moved away one by one. I hadn't played in years when I joined the group out here-my dentist started this group, and two of the other players live on the same road as me.
Sounds yummy - and easy, particularly without all the mess of deep frying :)
As to your hint on a well ventilated kirchen - the same holds true when doing even bell (sweet) peppers especially in or on a pan for fajitas. OMG - I thought I was going to kill us all the last time I made them. Hoely Moley!
We're having scallops wrapped in bacon, raw oysters and corn on the cob for dinner tonight.
I never use gloves when working with peppers.....just don't touch your eyes, nose, mouth or sensitive areas until AFTER you have washed the pepper juices off your hands.........
The only reason I'd dye my hair like a woman is if I was a woman but then I'd have boobs and wouldn't be able to keep my hands off myself. I'm better off without the gloves and without the jalapenos, thanks anyway. :^)
At least I was sitting down and not trying to balance on the crutches when the dog was going antsy.
Very sensible, Miss Gabrielle. Obviously the Whyisa's recipe was designed for someone who can't keep their hands out of their sensitive areas.
lolol - and I get in trouble, around here? astounding.
Well, you get in trouble with xs all the time for no reason I've ever been able to determine. I've never seen any sign of all the stuff of which she accuses you. Do you send her freepmails with all the junk she bellyaches about? Of course, she's pretty much all PMS, all the time, so that explains a lot. :^)
