I like him too....but don't think he has enough range right now. He may in a year....I think he has learned more than any of them. Plus, he is very buff & has has a great smile.
Jamille over Blake ??? .... Jamille should have been out weeks ago. He was and is TOTALLY out of his league. Jamille over Blake is a travesty ... that does it for me. As far as I'm concerned ... the show has lost ALL credibility with me ... I'll tune in something else
Jonny, you must have been in hog heaven tonight with those outfits of Melody's! LOL! My goodness ... that Paso Doble outfit was something else. It was actually very cleverly made. I noticed in the closeups that the top was dyed lycra and opaque, but it sure looked like some kind of naughty outfit from a distance!
It's funny, this is such a cheesy show (I see that Lauren Sanchez pulled out her WonderBra from the bottom of the hamper again) and yet the kids do inspire sympathy, just because they're working so darned hard. And all who are left have an awful lot of talent, of varying kinds.
Evening's highlights:
Paso Doble -- they had *serious* attitude, plus they can dance. 'Nuff said.
Grrl on grrl dance: Wow, made me tired just to watch! Actually very well executed. (I was hoping the guys would do some kinds of Gene Kelly/Donald O'Connor thing, but I guess that wouldn't have been "manly" enough.)
Ashle doing salsa: That girl is a serious dancer, and boy can she wiggle! :) The camera does her no favors in closeup, though. She'll have to stick to the live stage, I think.
Mary screaming: Jeez, put a muzzle on that woman!
Nick's solo: Did anyone notice -- not his multiple turns, but that very slow exit from them? That was to show off his exceptional balance. Lots of people can do turns, but they tend to be sloppy and "fall" out of them. His was totally controlled.
I must say that I am hoping Nick wins. He has such boy-next-door charm (okay, the gay boy next door, but still!), and he combines strength, style, flexibility and exceptional balance, not to mention his ability to do many styles (though hip hop is not his forte). I think he will be a formidable dancer in five years' time. I could deal with either of the girls winning, though, since they are also very accomplished. I would be disappointed if Jamile wins simply because of his voting bloc. Jamile is very personable, not to mention attractive, and does a great hip hop thing, but in styles other than hip hop, he has been very catch as catch can. I hope the judges get *some* sort of input into the winner. To see this contest become *just* a popularity contest after the dancers have all worked so hard would be disappointing.
Can't say I'm sorry Blake's gone. I do think Nick is superior to him as a dancer. Not just because I like Nick better (though I do), but because Blake has this big "look at me" thing going when he partners. Hard to codify it, but I see it. However, Jamile winning over Blake was clearly a case of the winning personality.
Gotta say, I'll be glad when this thing is over! Whew! :)
Yep, and Ashley's two-piece (or more accurately, what was revealed by her two-piece) was nice too :-P And you're right, she can wiggle!
Mary screaming: Jeez, put a muzzle on that woman!
What is wrong with her? For the first couple months of the show Mary was very quiet and reserved--even when she spoke she barely opened her mouth. Now for the past two or three weeks she's been screaming her head off. She screams when other people are talking. She screams while they're dancing. She screams for no reason at all ... Bizarre.
To see this contest become *just* a popularity contest after the dancers have all worked so hard would be disappointing.
I don't really care who wins, but I agree with you--the winner should be the best dancer, not the most popular. (I bet Blake is still in shock :)

Same here! This show should've ended a month ago. But next week is definitely the end! It can't come soon enough :)
Jonny,
I just read in US Weekly that Bo Bice and his wife had a baby boy (Aiden) on September 24. I'm not sure if you posted this already (or care for that matter!), but I thought I'd pass it along.
As for, "So You Think...", I do hope Nick wins. If Jamile does, then I am off reality TV for good. (what a threat, eh?) I have to admit that I like the show. I'd much rather see people compete by dancing than by eating bugs or a dopey Trump-task. Have you read if they are doing another season?
I didn't know that, thanks for telling us. "Aiden" seems to be a popular name these days.

I agree. It's been a relatively wholesome show, but I doubt if there will be another season. But who knows?
I was hoping ou would forget to ping me...LOL
you
I'm here
and I KNOW I can dance
**LOL**
To funny ;)
Sanchez said "Welcome to our season finale", does that mean there's gonna be another season of this crap?
Glad to here about the job, I hope it's lucrative...
I'm not at the lucrative stage yet :)
Did you see Snow with her braids
ughhhh I still don't like her
Gosh, I hope not....I'll stay for the final show. besides I like the company..
But you will be....and you better not forget all of us on FR when you become famous.
I liked the Daisy Dukes that the girls were wearing!
Hello Jonny!
Been enjoying your dance thread, after the fact, each week. Really a lift {little dance lingo there} -- so funny and fun to see comments after the show, and realize you weren't alone.
Good job!
And thanks for the Bo Bice upd8.
So happy for them. Nothing makes you perk up and take life more seriously, than seeing it through the sweet innocent eyes of a new little babe.
Sanchez is dancing--why did she wait so long???
