This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

We were thinking of buying 2-3 of those pre-fab board fence panels.... but I dunno.
Thanks. I kind of feel kind of lost here without a horse though:') I was thinking about the picture thing too. I want them so I csn critique myself also. There should be a way where you could hook up a camera and self shoot when in range, wouldn't you think?.

How about making the most of it and making a long but narrow 3 sided type shelter/arbor with a solid back and trellis either side and on the roof? That way it is private and you could maybe put a bench there to view your pretty home from! Somewhere to read...... watch the horses.....? Climbers like honeysuckle up the sides and over the top?
Heh... I'm not going to put that much in to it. If I put up a bench blind, it'll be to sit and take spy pictures with :~D

Hair, you can't see me, but I'm gaping in awe. Is that an old air conditioner that bug zapper is sitting on? Yeah you need to keep us updated on what's going on there. :-p
The Bush/Cheney pasture sign is 4X8... It might ~almost cover the space :~D
Hair I KNOW I KNOW! Get a set of bagpipes! Or REALLY bad bagpipe music! The WORST you can find. That'll clear them out right quick I promise. I know, I used to do it.

Two times in my life it's been suggested I learn the bagpipes, and they're within seconds of each other.

ROTFL. I have this really bad CD of piper music. I mean wickedly terrible. It's called "Bagpipes Flutes and Whistles" and I had picked it up beacuse I had wanted to learn some more whistle tunes. This CD is so bad... it defies description. Hair I'll send it to you to use if I can find it. It's excellent for torture, and has come in very very handy.
