The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!

Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Let them go! Let them go!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I love coasters too... the park back home has four really nice coasters. I love the big wooden one best but they're all awesome.

I think I'm going to retire to a silly book. (it's supposed to be a 'thriller' but it's really silly)

I'm beginning to think I came to the wrong place for motivation here...

Motivation? Heck.... I'm just chock full of motivation.

Need motivation to be a better runner? Got the answer right here:

First, get yourself a bengal tiger...

Hm...how 'bout this...when running for your life (acting as prey), it's always important to go faster than the slowest in your herd...

So...there's that!

Seriesly, I'd motivate ya, but I'm feeling guilty about my own slug-like habits as of late.

*laughing*

Heck, even ~I~ don't need THAT much motivation.

I run from cockroaches, remember? ;-D

Heheheheh. My motivation right now is I want to get into shape so I can go home for Carnival next year, despite the recent bombings. I figure I just won't walk by any trash cans.

At least you have an excuse. You're still settling into a new place. I've been in the same place for two years now; besides, with the kids in school, I gotta do something and I really don't want to work.

Anyways, I am going to bed now, I had a long day today. See you all tomorrow!

It's called "Temple" by Matthew Reilly. Mysterious artifact + latin manuscript + neonazis + the end of the world + reluctant hero discovering his destiny (which was conviently prophesied by ancient sages and handed down through the generations of jungle-dwelling tribes) = mass market paperback.

Lather. Rinse. Rinse. Repeat
