ARC OF LIGHT
Descending in an arc of light
The meteor knows its transience,
Illuminating by downfall.
This is sufficient:
The moment is complete without infinity.
The meteor, plunging, is on its way down.
Down is the only direction.
But, while it falls,
There is an arc of light in the sky.

Um, Amy? That's not a meteor, it's a comet.
Specifically, it's Hale-Bopp, distinguishable in photographs by the divided tail, part being gases, and part being dust.
And isn't that the one the "Doh!" crowd tried to hitch a ride on?

Evening everyone.
I'm enjoying my 4-day weekend staring right now.
Cheers. ;-)
