Inscriptions- "Korean War Veterans Memorial 1950-1953,"
"The Forgotten War,"
names of all Washingtonians killed,
informational plaques.
The two-ton memorial was set in place using a helicopter in early July, 1993. It was officially dedicated later that same month.
The memorial originally contained the names of 523 Washington residents killed in Korea, with more names added in 1994, 1998, and 1999.

Indeed the forgottten war so much so that there are many in Britain that do not realise that our soldiers were even involved in that conflict.
