I feel as tho I'm being mocked.
I haven't been in any religion flame wars. Current running topic is Revelation and end times. I don't get in the middle of those because I don't understand it.
My basic philosophy about when the Lord comes back is that if I'm not ready, it's not really gonna matter how it ends, it won't be pretty.
Seriously, I think it's important to study and try to understand, but I've not chosen a side in that debate.
That said, I basically had my evening hijacked for someone else's projects. I didn't even get the garden watered (and it didn't rain). I just sat down here less than an hour ago and was catching up on email and doing a little blogging.
Gots a bored meeting in the People's Republic of Charlottesville tomorrow. Won't be on until later in the day.
Ah, make sure you get some sleep tonight. Or don't, and sleep at the bored meeting.
I actually have a position on Revelation... it's the nonpopular one ;-) but other than that I hold your philosophy. And other than to argue whether or not "Left Behind" is theologically accurate (doubt it), I don't find much value in those arguments. So sometimes I'll read that thread. Because I don't really have a dog in the fight.
Yer' slippin'. :-) Yah know what they say 'bout backsliders... :-)
I know what you mean, WRT 'end times' and such. I think the two best bits of advice for such things are "No one will know the day or the hour" and, while not scriptural, is still pertinent: "Every generation has believed the end times were upon them".
I'm pretty much in the same camp WRT the Cre/Evo threads. I dunno. I don't care. I wasn't there. Someday I'll ask. :-)
