Yummy.
The Hilton chain has that prob, too. Beats me why those places don't want to cater to the business traveler.
I don't need a doctor enough to need to. I don't have any chronic health problems and never catch cold. I see her for routine check-ups and as a gateway to the occasional specialist. Twit or no, she's useful and I use her for my own ends.
She belongs to one of the better practices in the area but she's the typical HMO slave. She does business by volume.
In many ways I feel sorry for her. It's got to be a bummer to be bright, Hopkins-educated, and forbidden to think and grow professionally beyond the boundaries set by HMOs. And it's not like doctors are the sole keepers of sacred medical knowledge anymore - not in the day and age of the internet. It doesn't take much to be better informed than your typical general practice doc. Used to be doctors were respected - the best and the brightest. Now they're just hired help.
Tuesday Morning Funkle-baby - yeah!
g'mornin'. Internet is slow here this morning.
And I broke my sunglasses. Second pair this summer. So I found an old pair of Jr's that didn't look too ridiculous.
'cept they have these weird screws on the lenses right next to the bridge. It's vey distracting if I don't keep them pushed all the way up.
I found them next to a check for $1.09 from Navin R. Johnson...
Not just you, Corin. I think FR is slow this morning.
And if Emily keeps tracking this way, I'm evacuating for the weekend.
I have no tolerance for this crap so early in the year. :P
Yeah - I don't want to see you swept off in a hurricane till at least August.
~Sip~
Yep, I think it's FR being extra slow...
Call the doctor, I think we're gonna crash.
Morning everyone!
Most Holiday Inn locations have free WiFi everywhere inside the building. One does not even need to get a room, just a cup of coffee or a beer, or even just sit in the lobby for a while.
Not that I would do such a thing.
Is FR extremely slow this morning or is it just me? The rest of the net is zipping right along but not FR. (Yes, I'm logged in)
Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck...
Keep laughing. I'll show up with both kids along with OT this weekend.
That'll learn ya. ;-D
Did you read the article here at FR about the man in Florida who was charged with a felony for using someone elses signal? He was getting it from an individual though, not a business.
LOL
I'm going to use that one.
Or the other one I saw in the thread: "I can't sign that, I'm Amish!" ;OD
It's still slow, but coffee's helping. ;~D
Morning!
Hmm, I can't decide if FR is slow or not. Don't crash and leave me another desolate day of aloneness!
Tuesday. Tuesday are better than Mondays. And I have no Friday this week.
The doctor say he's coming but you gotta pay in cash... ;~D
It's draaaaagging big time.
:-)

I got the coffee pot on a timer. Actually, it's the timer that turns on the light in the chicken coop during the winter so they don't stop laying eggs (which is dependent on the number of daylight hours). Don't need it during the summer so I plug the coffee pot into it and Steve enjoys fresh-made coffee automatically in the morning, set to make at the same time his alarm goes off.
I know there are coffee pots that have these automatic timers, but there's nothing wrong with my pot and I don't have a problem with my setup.
OT, you could use this kinda thing to automatically turn on YOUR coffee pot...would be perfect for yours that the switch is broken on...
Ugh! Holiday Inn - what a hit or miss franchise. I tried the HI at one of the locations to which I frequently travel. Couldn't check out of there fast enough. It was filthy, "non-smoking" meant 'hadn't been smoked in yet *today*' and the wifi was run by a local company that had hours incompatible with my needs.
Honestly, the selling point for me, other than no funky smells, stains, or fungal growth in the room, is good old DSL/High Speed cable. The tech is old enough to be reliable and compatible. Most hotel rooms are small enough that my ethernet cable is more than sufficient.
