Hi all - have I missed anything? I've been "ignorin' the hobbit thread" today. :~D
Not really, I've just been distracted... I had to ban a troll in the SaddleClub... and I got banned on another forum.... been a busy day!
She wrote a book that I absolutely love. It's called "The Encyclopedia of Country Living". She's been writing it forever and it's sprinkled with all these stories of her life in it.
Lil'freeper has one of the first copies, I believe. I have the 9th edition and it's probably the most popular...it's when it hit "the big time".
I love the book second to the Bible, as a non-fiction book.
Funny, my mom, who hated this aspect of my personality...the canning, the raising chickens and the frugal living (she wouldn't be caught dead in a shirt from the thrift store), bought this book for me. She wouldn't touch my home canning, I'm too moronic to do it right and my backyard fresh eggs had to be absolutely nasty and she would have none of them, but then she gets me a book like this.
Go figure.

She's just a person who happened to write a book...I don't consider her a famous person...I consider her a person I'd really like to meet...just a regular person.
I've been telling Lil'freeper about because she knows who she is and has that cool first edition book!
She kinda reminds me of me...in a lot of ways.
I wanna hear about it.
Okay I'm outta here. I got four nights to get the yard/house back in order (and finish some projects).
Although when I get calls like "I lost my cell phone" I'm less inspired.
Nonetheless, I at least have to clean up the mess I created.
