The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Heh. Maybe. It's just the normal summer thing, people roll in when they feel like it.

Isn't anybody around? Where is everyone? Corin's off at a bored meeting, but what are your excuses?

I'm here, I'm here. But I was wondering why it was so quiet in the Hole today too!

Are we still on for our chat-view of TTTEE on Saturday? I haven't seen that one for a LONG, long time...

YES, we are! I will be bugging people about that as the week proceeds. Be there or be a rectangular thing.

And that one we definitely have EE of :-)

Getting laundry started.

And apparently I must have left my detergent down there last time. I couldn't find it anywhere. I used some of yours...I promise to repay ya for it! In quarters, if you like.

Need to buy some ASAP, I guess.

Nope, and when you have to use unscented stuff, that's even worse. Glad you found mine though!

I'm here!

Since my last post, i have washed a load of laundry, a load of dishes, cleaned up the livingroom and the kitchen and am currently making a batch of yogurt...and thinking of Lil'freeper. (I always do when I make yogurt.)

Ditto. Time for another cup, soon as I've switched over the laundry.

I don't think that work coffee is strong enough....I'll have to increase the dosage. :)
