This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I don't care either way. I pick my battles. If they want a mudhole and a fish, more power to them as long as the horses have shoes on.

Tommorrow. Sarah Lee definately needs a trim. She grows out fast. Whatever that was on her foot is gone now. The frog firm and dry when I left. My BIL has medicated everyday as a precaution for me so I can't get too upset at him. He's doing a lot for me just to be able to "ride"
Same as the other ones you took in the other arena. The arena lights may help some, but unless you are really close, in range of the flash, they'll probably come out dark. If you email 'em to me, I don't mind lightening them as well as I can.
I need help. I have some very good friends, military, who have 30 days to find somewhere to live near WACO Texas. Maybe China springs? They will be renting, and have a horse. Any ideas? Know anyone? They are not too fussy. : )
My sister lives in Waco. Let me ask her. Are they going to Fort Hood ?
My sister mamages an apartment complex. No horses though:') She may have some contacts
I dont know the details, he is with the Air Force. They have 1 child, dogs, cats and a horse. So an apartment would not be what they are looking for. They will be heading down again in a week or two to look again. If she can help it would be great!
Ok thanks, hopefully it will start before it gets dark. I'm heading over there as soon as Jenny gets here.
I'm feeding my neighbors horses this weekend, just got back. I wish I had remembered my camera:), It's like a zoo up there, horses, dogs, exotic chickens, peacocks, rabbits, pheasants...I'll try to remember tomorrow. She has 3 arabs and a pony.

Well darn. The ropeing fell thru. I just talked to Charlie and they are not going to be roping tonight, just running some cows on a rank mare. Might make for some good pictures, but they're not starting till after dark when it's cooler. They hope the mare might not be so bad then.

Have ya'll seen this? I don't know if you guys are familiar with Texasflower but she hated my guts. I never wished her any ill will though and I'll miss her entertaining posts, calling people jerks and pricks because they didn't agree with her.

I didn't make it to the ranch last night. Jenny came over and we ate and visited and just didn't go.

Judging from the pics on her homepage, I never would have thought a gastric bypass was in order. She doesn't look that big to me.
