This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Good Morning!! I saw your web site with your horse pictures. You sure have beautiful horses. I love the one that is running. Is that Bay?
Sorry I don't post much. I am either at work or at school it seems. Or sleeping.
Are they going to stay that "lemon" color?
You sure got a variety of colors! There's a puppy there for everybody!
Thank you, there are a couple of the pony, but I think the running horse pictures you're likely thinking of are Bay.... :~D
LOL...Thanks:), somehow after about 45, birthdays are just not that exciting, and at 51 I'd just a soon have not been reminded it was my birthday:), but I can't convince Jenny that a Happy Birthday, I love you Mom, is enough:).
Becky
They were pure white when they were born! They will end up "lemon and white". It is very beautiful and highly sought after. I just went to check on them and the "lemon" patches are more visible then they were yesterday. When I bring them in this afternoon, I'll take more pics. : )
Wow, I didn't know that Bassetts came in that color. I have only seen brown and black ones.
Is the one scratching his butt the pony?
Yep.... that's our pony :~D
I know they are a real mixture, the basket just contains Sassys pups! LOL She had 9! Jessie had 6, one was stillborn and one died yesterday. However, she is being a good mom/aunt and feeding some of Sassys for her!
We have lemon/Blue/ and Tri. The lemon and blue are rare.
Both moms are doing great. Dad to both litters, is cheering on from over the fence like he "did it all himself'........! LOL Male........!
The black brown and white ones are called TRI . They are the most common. Both Moms and DAD are TRI.
Hot and humid, but not all the time. It's humid all most all the time here.
Oh those pups are so adorable. I want one!
Sounds like you got really good litters! Will you breed your dogs back to the same dog? (Stud?)
What a pile of puppies:)
Becky
If anyone is gaga about puppies enough to want to see more, check out http://photobucket.com/albums/a194/Rose2005/
Lots more pics! : )
Yes, Baxter has the "maternity ward' that the horses were in when they foaled. It is about 40ftx60ft plenty for his slow attitude to life! : ) He mostly sleeps in his kennel!
