*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I think Ole Mac boots come up higher and have a velcro strap that goes around the pastern.

"Deflowering apprentice priests no less! Girl, you are BAD."

I was pretty wild before I settled down with hubby, I admit it. But the priest was worth it!

I didn't deflower that guy, he already knew what went where, and why. He was studying, but it wasn't catholicism.

The Old Mac boots are really good. We use them on Sonny on endurance rides and you can't ask for worse terrain.

Check out the feet :)

As I said earlier, there definitly is the chance I just dreamed up the guy telling me it was a mare...

Given who we're talking about, it could be that he was a little confused about it himself ;~D

Yes, they stay on very well. We had problems with easy boots staying on but the Old Macs are great, mud, rocks, sand, etc.

Tracey ordered ours from EBay - somewhat cheaper than the catalogs/stores but not a lot. They are pretty expensive compared to easy boots.

My basset girl "Jessie May" has just had her puppies! This is her first time and 5 have survived, 1 lost. They are beautiful! They are mins old, so I am giving her a little time before I disturb again and take pics. Her sister, Sassy Pie is due now too, so I am watching her closely.
Jessie is doing well. : ) Kids are SO excited!
