I've tried to be non-jedgemental re: The Cruise ... but am unable to be so.
No matter what role he's playing, I still see the celeb, not the character.
He has what's called limited range.
Scientology is major BS ... and he's a major nummy for swallowing that malarkey, much less preaching and converting.

I cannot stand Johnny Depp, yet watched Finding Neverland and actually forgot he was Johnny Depp (I laugh when I read the last name, since I had a German boyfriend who used to call him Johnny Deep, since Depp in German means moron.)

What creeps me out about the guy is I think that what we saw from him on Oprah is as deep as he gets. I'd imagine that if he weren't famous, having Tom over to a party would be a sure-fire conversation killer.
