I've tried to be non-jedgemental re: The Cruise ... but am unable to be so.

No matter what role he's playing, I still see the celeb, not the character.

He has what's called limited range.

Scientology is major BS ... and he's a major nummy for swallowing that malarkey, much less preaching and converting.

No matter what role he's playing, I still see the celeb, not the character. And that's the way to tell a good actor. You get lost in the movie. I cannot stand Johnny Depp, yet watched Finding Neverland and actually forgot he was Johnny Depp (I laugh when I read the last name, since I had a German boyfriend who used to call him Johnny Deep, since Depp in German means moron.)

For one, Steven Segal is VERY happy Cruise is around. Tiny Tom makes him look like a serious actor.

What creeps me out about the guy is I think that what we saw from him on Oprah is as deep as he gets. I'd imagine that if he weren't famous, having Tom over to a party would be a sure-fire conversation killer.
