I've opened a new classroom, but Miss Rika has the gradebook. So if you're looking for a grade you'll have to ping her. Miss Slippy is pretty generous with the plusses if you compliment her shapely legs, so you might try submitting your homework to her instead. My secret for getting extra plusses on my A+ from xs will remain a secret between me and her, so you're on your own if you want her to review your work.

I'll be in a training class all day and away from my computer. Y'all have fun in my absence.

A caller to the local morning talk radio (hate radio?) show asked this penetrating question:

A few short years ago, democrats couldn't define the word "IS" -- Now we're supposed to trust them with "extraordinary"??

Indeed.

The recent Senate compromise that will supposedly "save the Republic" might as well be the threnody of the Legislative branch as far as expressing the will of the people is concerned.

Watching the members of the "Dirty Dozen+2" while saying nothing worthy, drone on afterwards about this "historic" occasion was a spectacle hard to stomach. Now we have old horny Ted Kennedy, Northern libs and Southern "moderates" alike, plus many other "dynamic" leaders in the Senate all essentially agreeing to trash the Constitution in the name of comity (besides, they'd normally rather be in the Lounge than engage in thorny debates on the floor anyway).

With regard to the Senate Democrats, much like their party chairman "Dr. No" they continually vilify anything conservative and eventually resort, from Boxer of CA to Clinton of NY, to herd mentality as usual by voting in lock-step against the President. Even so, their inability to get beyond rhetoric and deny thorough consideration to such qualified jurists is appalling.

As for the GOP participants of this scam on the American people, none of them can even approach (for example) being compared to Henry Hyde -- no treacherous behavior of the kind ever came from this man.  All in all, a sad day for the nation...
