Ann is a very bright woman. She would still be bright AND reach more people if she just toned things down some.
I had an opportunity to meet and talk with her personally at a pizza party held after the first FR March For Justice at the Octagon. It was a pretty relaxed setting and Ann was as nice as she could be. As much a I love her witty, biting comments when she is opposing liberals where she is usually outnumbered, she is not the same way in person when she is with her conservative friends. Amazingly, she reminded me of many of the Catholic girls I went to school with, honest, unassuming, fun and surprisingly humble.
I think with as many public appearances as Ann has made, she still gets nervous. Shows like the one she was on tonight (though admittedly I didn't see it but after this thread sure would like to), have to be somewhat difficult for her because most of the people in the audience and probably the host as well are not the political junkies that she is accustomed to, right or left. It has to be tough for her to play to an audience that is largely apolitical. If she gets on more of these kinds of programs, she will get better.
