In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
Dodgeball Day!
Subbie Slip has given her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs to xs today.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
To some, Bolton's too contumaceous
They'd prefer vapid, loquacious
The U.N. is all blather
Save the post for Dan Rather
Or Clinton (no--he's too salacious!)
cool! i never heard that one. as i told HD on the end of yesterday's thread, the two i recall were calling ralph on the porcelain phone and driving the porcelain bus. my kids (10, 13, 16 yos) were roaring.
A++++ John Bolton is the man for that job.
Calling Ralph on the porcelain phone - LOL! I'm sure my 15yo will like that too. She probably knows it already, because she know everything, way more than me (so she thinks).
Your poor ohands :(
And there is the old standby: doing the technicolor yawn.
OOH! BEING TAG-TEAMED BY TWO BABES IS SETTING ME LITTLE HEART ALL ATWITTER.
And check out this wonderful news. I think we need a thread devoted to Poland.....kinda like a travelogue....lots of photos, tourism info, etc....
Dodge ball?
*Poom! knocked over!*
going through a rough period with daddy's girl, huh? well my 16.5 yo is actually pretty good, she may admit that i know more, but she will say with her dying breath that she is WAY COOLER than i am. i am cool, but my kids give me zero credit for being cool.
thanks, miss annie! and yes, Poland is great, isn't it? western europe could learn much from their eastern neighbors, were they to extract their heads from their collective behinds.
we can only hope that they knock themselves out pummelling each other. A+++
The Senator is contumaceous,
Ole Reid's words being consternacious,
Including character assassination,
From FBI files comes the intimations.
RE: your fried corn dish
The fried corn sounded really good. I'm so glad you decided to give the bacon grease thing a try. It is also really good for making sausage gravy to go over biscuits, but you might need some time to work your way up to that. In the words of Obi Wan Kenobi to Luke, "You have just taken your first steps in a bigger universe."
I went back and checked my roll (ping list) for WFTD, and found that both of the truant students who appear to have slept through the opening bell on the last two Wednesdays are in fact on the roll and were pinged on post #2 or #3 of the thread.
as i said before. he needs the snot beat out of him, the little punk. A++++
THAT IS HILAROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A
