Good point, yet it is irrelevant at this juncture. We have been sold a bill of goods and our will has been thwarted. It has been thwarted by just the attempt at compromise. It has been thwarted by those who took our money, blood, sweat, and tears, all of which I have contributed in the last 5 years, for the promise of furthering an agenda we all agree on. I think that if this is true, it seems to confirm the Dem's accusation of Lott's being a racist, the very accusation that drove him from the majority leadership position. And the irony continues. We know the Dems are racists, although they insist otherwise. Yet, their partnership with the very man THEY called a racist proves their own racist attitudes (along with keeping Byrd in place).
