Saw one spin around to try to take a chunk out o fme.
He was blocking the road, and too big to straddle with the car.
Trying to shoo him along generated the 'do battle' response from the prehistoric monster.
Yes, surprisingly quick for something so awkward appearing.
Got him out of the road by making him chase me.

This - Old - House style?
Yes, I follow that avidly.
Some of those people restoring homes have more money than sense.

Yes.
Prehistoric - Yes.
But 6 foot shells? Now that must have been a real terror to Carp.

Off to push my agenda - bbl! Save the Bats :)
To: grannie9; Darksheare
"when I went up to bed last night and went into the room there was a bat flying all over the room. Scared the living sh!t out of me." Darks! You promised to behave yourself! Just because Grannie is more accessible these days doesn't mean you should be terrorizing her...even if she does ask for it sometimes. Zap him next time, Gran.

I'm so glad that I'm old, but I do feel bad for "my" and YOUR young ones.

Whew! Sweet goodness, it's nice to be able to say AMEN, and HI to everyone again.
Maybe I should just stay here and play, and not try and discuss things that are killing our country.
Cheers, all.

Terror, more like the coming of the apocalypse.
Have two three footers in the nearby creek.
One male, one female.
The female if the most territorial reptile I've ever seen.
Chased everything away from 'her' sunning spot.
Frogs, fish, other turtles, other snppers, dragon flies.
If it came within a few feet, she hissed and lunged.
Not something to meet up with while wading after crawdads.
Saw her chase the male for thirty minutes, knocking him around like he was nothing with her beak.
He'd made the mistake of trying to go upstream through 'her' territory to get to the deeper section where most of the fish were.
