It may be the funniest thing I have heard in a long time......it parodies ads that will probably come out soon from those types.....you would love it, absolutely love it.

Yes, yes.........My favorite line..........the whisper...."From Germany"

Most excellent humour.

I dated a lawyer once.

The end occurred in a moment.

Long story short:

He was defending a vicious rapist...whom we both knew was guilty.
He came by ready to celebrate because he found a way to get the rapist off.
I exclaimed something like, "But he's guilty."
He said, "But this is my job."

Game over.

Like I tell everyone else: in America, everyone is entitled to a lawyer. It is every accused's right to be represented by a lawyer. This is in our Constitution, just as are many other rights. And not only are we entitled to a lawyer, we are entitled to a competent lawyer.

Do we always like the results? No.

But these are our rights.

For some of the problems with the lack of convictions of criminals, or lieniency imposed, laws need to be changed.

The District Attorney's don't HAVE to offer pleas.
The Judges don't have to ALLOW those pleas.

The Judges can sentence harsher, once someone is convicted, as well.

Finger-pointing, shame, and blame should not be only directed to the defense attorneys.

My feelings about him were entirely effected by this. I don't feel wrong about my feelings.

My ethics are a large part of who I am.

And so are mine.

As I said, you can look at the District Attorneys who are offering plea bargains for scum bags.

You can look at the judges who allow those plea bargains or give slaps on the hand.

Why do you do that, as well?

Good for you.

Now, perhaps, you can take you soap box to the voters and get laws changed, or make voters aware of dirty dealing District Attorneys who play politics with others' lives, or educate the masses about judges who make rulings based on their fears of being overturned....cause they just won't look good on their resumes, instead of blaming the defense attorneys, afforded every citizen under the Constitution?

A true life example:

We were in SeaWorld watching the fireworks.....we left as the finale was going off, walked accross a normal path......one of the fireworks got off target and out of control and came down on top of us and I had to brush burning cinders out of my daughters and LL's hair......my spring jacket got holes in it. We left, they ran us down at the gate to apologize. They tried to give us stuff and we declined.

I told this story to a lot of people when we got home......the main reaction was....."You should have sued......you'd have made a bundle"

Problem is we had a great time, we loved SeaWorld, and we wern't really hurt. Why was that everyone's reaction?
