I had a very colorful day today....at least that's one way of putting it. There were 2 or 3 times this morning that I literally had a phone at each ear. Then I was getting ribbed (and complimented) by coworkers about how I looked today. Just cuz I clean up pretty good, they think I got things going on....so I entertain their speculations. I cannot even imagine how awful this job would be if you didn't get along with your coworkers. I think I am in one of the better counties, especially based on what I've seen with some of the other counties I've worked with.
I did my good deed for the day, too. I ran down warrants on the dad (from California) in one of my cases and discovered there are active warrants for him in 4 states, including one in California on 4 counts of felony sexual assualt on a child. They've been after him for nearly a year, so I was accommodating and contacted PD in both California and in the town he's living in (down in BQ's neck of the woods) and let them know his whereabouts. I just hope they have a little more interest in getting him back behind bars than they do here with sex perps. Of course, in California, it's probably a protected sexual preference.

hit and run post. I haven't checked in lately. Hubby and I drove up to St. Helena to our favorite winery, V. Sattui, bought cheese, salami, french bread and wine at the deli and had lunch. Then we did some wine tasting, and came home with 6 nice bottles of wine. We had a yummy grilled rib steak and salad for dinner, then went to see "Cinderella Man". We both loved it.
Tomorrow is my birthday, and we bought some champagne at the winery to drink tomorrow.
Hope everyone is well and happy!

Happy birthday. Hope the bubbly is good to you.
We had our champagne two nights ago with a beautiful sunset over the big lake.

I'm sure it will be good! We're going to grill tonight, have some champaign out on the patio, and watch any wildlife that might wander onto the hillside behind our house.
