Email:

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time. This little test should get you started.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director which is the criteria that defines
a patient to be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, we offer a teaspoon, a teacup, and a bucket to the

patient and ask the patient to empty the bathtub."

Okay, here's your test:

1. Would you use the spoon?

2. Would you use the teacup?

3. Would you use the bucket?

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would choose the bucket as it is larger than the spoon."

"No," answered the Director. "A normal person would pull the plug."

So how did YOU do?

"She's a worse cook then her mother .. "

Frightening.

"at least that is one thing I've never done"

Yet. Grandma taught me to never say never.

"So how did YOU do?"

My first thought was "pull the plug," but no one has ever accused me of being normal before.

"can't find any mexican restautants in San José..."

Probably because Mexican is the default California food.

Mostly. I just wanted to see if some of the REALLY good restaurants were listed.

BTW, in San José it's Mexican, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Ethiopian, German, french, British, Moroccan, Afghani (well OK, that's more Fremont), Iranian...

LOL! When my mom comes to visit and we want to go out to eat, it's tough to find a restaurant, because she really doesn't care for most ethnic foods. Walnut Creek, of course, has a lot of really good restaurants, but she wants pretty basic plain stuff. I think we took her out to Hungry Hunter last time she was here. Otherwise, I just cook here at home.

Cooking at home's a good thing these days. Our mignons are marinating, the cherry tomatoes are chilling, and the ciabatta bread is awaiting its fate in the toaster oven this evening.

Well aren´t you a great cook. I just heated my oven to 220C and in 8 minutes I had a Pizza for one.

Burnt my fingers getting it out.
