We could find out today if the runaway bride, who ended up in Las Vegas, will face criminal charges for lying to police about being kidnapped.
News 3's Kirstin Linquist reports that she could spend up to five years in prision, pretty bad yes, but that's nothing compared to what she is facing from friends and family.
Wilbanks is staying out of sight at her parent's house but is expected to finally make a statement today.
A question she may answer is was this planned? We found out that the ticket to Las Vegas was purchased days before she disappeared.
While in Las Vegas, Wilbanks stayed at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Sources close to News 3 say she used her fiancees last name when she checked in.
The two were have supposed to marry that Saturday.

She's preparing a written statement, I've heard. Think there are any lawyers involved in crafting it?
Good catch. Probably used his credit card as well.
Something just doesn't add up with this story, even if she did have $250.
We'll read all about it in a tell-all book eventually, as well as a made-for-tv movie.
"Never leave home without it"...LOL.

Absolutely. And you wanna bet...it still won't contain the words "I'm sorry...."
And the Oprah/Barbara Walters internview...
I think the fiancee is on the whole thing. They just want their 15 minutes of fame.

I agree. And you know, even if she does at some point tell the truth, I don't think too many people outside of maybe her fiance, her family and close friends are going to believe her.
I heard that she's going to say she's sorry....
Believe I heard several folks comment on the fact that the husband seem a bit too happy during his first tv interview. Was it with Greta?
There is a difference between having your name changed and taking your husband's name after marriage. After marriage you would show the DMV your marriage certificate, not a court order.
which no NORMAL woman would do....
The haircut was the clincher, maybe another man she was seeing thought she was generating way too much media attention and dumped her.
Especially before a wedding!
Hmmm, if she got a haircut, maybe it wasn't a man she was seeing.
Who says she paid for the room? Perhaps she met someone there who did.
During the interview of Jilted, it was suggested that the Bachlorette party had been in Vegas.
Perhaps it's different between our states, then. When I changed my last name to my husband's, I brought in only the court order. My marriage certificate has my maiden name on it.
She knew that her Credit card would be tracked. And if she premeditated advance reservations, then who knows who fast it would have shown up in any alert system? OR if John even knew she used it?
Since she premeditated her AWOL, she thought out most everything, right down to cutting her hair. Sort of puts an end to her story that she didn't know people would be looking for her. She didn't want to be recognized.
