We could find out today if the runaway bride, who ended up in Las Vegas, will face criminal charges for lying to police about being kidnapped.
News 3's Kirstin Linquist reports that she could spend up to five years in prision, pretty bad yes, but that's nothing compared to what she is facing from friends and family.
Wilbanks is staying out of sight at her parent's house but is expected to finally make a statement today.
A question she may answer is was this planned? We found out that the ticket to Las Vegas was purchased days before she disappeared.
While in Las Vegas, Wilbanks stayed at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Sources close to News 3 say she used her fiancees last name when she checked in.
The two were have supposed to marry that Saturday.

Not they are saying she had eight bridal showers!

Hmmmm...maybe that's where she got some cash for this little field trip to Vegas. LOL
A Las Vegas reporter is following this story. She reports this. She also said that the hotel is so tight-lipped, as LV hotels are, that she can't get any confirmation from them. So I don't know how she got the info.

Oh, I understand that...and I believe some of the other media folks (Fox and maybe others) reported the same thing. I know if it was a leak from inside the hotel, whoever was the source will be out of a job.
I have three Visa cards, issued by the same bank but three different companies' names on them. I do it to get points. And yes, I agree that she probably used John's card, perhaps online or via phone.
The bachelorette party had been in Vegas?? That puts a new spin on the potential for theories.

Apparently not, but I really don't know. The Duluth police chief didn't seem to think so. I do believe that yet unknown details will emerge. I'm really not sure that she thought about it that much, but I could be wrong. I'm tending to be sympathetic, but I think she does need to be held to the consequences of her actions. I think that my mind will change as these details emerge, whatever they may be.
DA said last night they are attempting to locate the cabbie that picked her up; wonder if they are also attempting to interview people who were on bus with her?
Don't know why the poor girl decided to take off, but I'm sure she had her reasons. And should make restitution. BUT, she's not ready to be married to John, if at all. She has issues that need to be resolved, IMHO.
I just read on the Fox website a more updated report -- no longer mentions whether she stayed at Treasure Island, so maybe that hasn't been confirmed???
So its confirmed that she got a cab to Atlanta?
She was paid by the hispanic man and white woman for agreeing to a threesome...
In the blue van, right?
Exactly!

I just keep remembering that (per cousin on Greta's show Friday night)Jennifer left phone message for her cousin that Tuesday afternoon, letting cousin know cousin's son's tuxedo was ready for wedding-knowing she was gonna bolt that night....
Weird. Too strange...
Well so much for the story that this was spontaneous.
The more I hear and read, the less sympathy I have for her. I had some for her yesterday, but it's fading fast.
Sounds like she is just languishing at one of her parent's homes, nothing mentioned about her getting that help for her 'issues'.

I'm still waiting for HER "statement."
Duluth Mayor Shirley "Lasseter said she conveyed a message to the couple from the syndicated TV show "A Current Affair" offering up to $100,000 toward repaying the city if the couple would agree to exclusive interviews and coverage of their wedding."
