My utilitarian pursuit this summer will be my garden. I somehow managed to get lettuce and radishes to sprout in 3 days. Don't know how that happened. :)

What's nice about growing your own lettuce is that you can pick it when it's early and vey tender. We used to grow oak leaf and ruby lettuce when we lived in Jersey and had a square foot garden. Made a lovely salad!
