The Hobbit Hole XXI - ...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Towards the Moon or to the Sun.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Sounds good to me!

Go in the front door, turn right. After the bathrooms there's a door on the left that leads to the stairwell. Go to the third floor, through the open doors, down the hall on the right to the very end.

I'm thinking of walking to The Catholic Store...

You can buy Catholics in Colorado?

If I don't show up when you think I should...come in search of me, OK? I may be aimlessly roaming the halls...

Is the front door the one we've usually gone in, by the way?

How much for a nice single Catholic hunk - 'bout 35 years old or so? Will they accept financing?

That'd be kinda nice, wouldn't it?

"Hi...I'd like a single Catholic guy, about 26-35, preferrably good lookin', but let's see what ya got. I'm kinda low on cash..."

Er...maybe not.

You should see the squirrel stuff at my house. They are everywhere. I spend about $50 a month just on nuts and stuff for the REAL ones that are in the back yard.

Hey, you'll have to tell your wife she has a kindred spirit! Although, I think irishtenor's wife has you beat, Hair, when it comes to the squirrel stuffed animals, figurines, garden decorations, etc. ;)

Undoubtedly! ;~D I have no squirrel collectables, just the live ones...

We have the little red ones, and the big grey bushy tailed ones too. I have a better relationship with the little red ones... one of them is so brave he sits right on the platform when I'm pouring seed. The grey ones are very skittish. They're better off skittish... I've got the dogs that will grab them if they are too slow... and even a blind cat gets lucky once in awhile.
