Graphic by Billie
Quiet, Please!
Id like to have some quiet, Please!
That gives more than a moments ease.
A silence that assumes control,
And satisfies a troubled soul.
When nightbirds keep their voices low,
And crickets creep upon tiptoe,
When even shadows stay quite still,
And breezes are afraid to spill.
Id like the sound that someone hears,
Of coursing bloodflow in his ears.
The quiet of the grave, almost,
Without a noisy, wailing ghost.
The roaring of the parkway stilled,
And stillness upon silence build,
The Summer lightning staying dark,
And lovers quiet in the park.
I know what noise is, what it does,
But I forgot what silence was.
If I could have some quiet, Please,
Perhaps at last, Ill catch those Zees.

You're welcome, Alamo Girl!
Nice choice for the graphic, Billie, very "pacific".
Thanks, Amy, for bringing it together.

Morning, (((((Sis)))))
Let's park ourselves on that bench for the rest of the day. : )
To: All
START OVER!
When you've trusted God and walked his way
When you've felt his hand lead you day by day
But your steps now take you another way...
START OVER!
When you've made your plans and they've gone awry
When you've tried your best and there's no more try
When you've failed yourself and you don't know why...
START OVER!
When you've told your friends what you plan to do
When you've trusted them and they didn't come through
And you're all alone and it's up to you...
START OVER!
When you've failed your kids and they're grown and gone
When you've done your best but it's turned out wrong
And now your grandchildren come along...
START OVER!
When you've prayed to God so you'll know his will
When you've prayed and prayed and you don't know still
When you want to stop cause you've had your fill...
START OVER!
When you think you're finished and want to quit
When you've bottomed out in life's deepest pit
When you've tried and tried to get out of it...
START OVER!
When the year has been to long and successes few
When December comes and you're feeling blue
God gives a January just for you...
START OVER!
Starting over means "Victories Won"
Starting over means "A Race Well Run"
Starting over means "God's Will Done"
Don't just sit there...
START OVER!

Good morning, (((( Bro ))))
Boy .... am I ready for that bench. It must be time to plan another weekend at Morro Bay. Nothing to do except watch the ocean, the sea gulls and the elephant seals; do a little window shopping and go out to eat!
Doesn't that sound like a relaxing day?

The Primrose
By Robert Herrick
1591-1674
ASK me why I send you here
This sweet Infanta of the year?
Ask me why I send to you
This primrose, thus bepearl'd with dew?
I will whisper to your ears:--
The sweets of love are mix'd with tears.
Ask me why this flower does show
So yellow-green, and sickly too?
Ask me why the stalk is weak
And bending (yet it doth not break)?
I will answer:--These discover
What fainting hopes are in a lover.
Happy Primrose Day!

And God Said
I said, "God I hurt." And God said, "I know." I said, "God, I cry a lot." And God said, "That is why I gave you tears." I said, "God, I am so depressed." And God said, "That is why I gave you sunshine." I said, "God, life is so hard." And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones." I said, God, "My loved one died." And God said, "So did mine." I said, "God, "It is such a loss." And God said, "I saw mine nailed to a cross." I said, "God, but your loved one lives." And God said, "So does yours." I said, God, "Where are they now?" And God said, "Mine is on my right, and yours is in the light. I said, "God, it hurts." And God said, "I know." Posted on the wall at Oklahoma City bombing site

That is beautiful, Silverleaf.
Thank you.
Remembering those lost on that day 10 years ago. I will never forget the shock and disbelief I felt that day.
Unbelievable that one of our own would do such a thing.

April is a sad month for my family, and so many others. Tomorrow is anniversary of Columbine shooting, I believe.
(sigh).. At least the world has a new Pope- although the media has been extraordinarily negative toward him already!
As the witch said in Wizard of Oz "Oh...what a world, what a world..."
