PETA rant #947. Don't buy dogs that are registered... yada yada yada! AKC champions almost never come from "puppy mills" but there are people who fall on hard times, become ill, or have problems with they're own personal responsibility. None of this has anything to do with the AKC. It keeps stud books, end of story. It does not now or ever has guaranteed the quality of the dog involved. People are supposed to get off their lazy duffs and investigate that themselves.
