I have heard that when they added a lot of armor to the F-22 it slowed it down to make it even with the F-15. But I also heard they overcame that problem and the F-22 is the new air superiority aircraft.

And it is pretty enough -- a lot better than the F-117 (blech). But the F-15 is so graceful -- it looks like it is flying even when on the ground.

Gone are days of the truly beautiful aircraft (the F-14 is another fave of mine, and the F/A-18 ain't bad either). OTOH they have yet to make a jet as ugly as the F-1 Phantom (lol).

Wow, I think we have same taste in aircraft. I hated the F-1 also! :P I also like the F-80/T-33 Shooting Star :D Its an oldie but I love the way it looks.
