Spot on. I've been doing this since JimRob was doing this on Compuserve. It's a pleasant distraction. When it becomes an obsession, you don't have a life. Then you need tp leave.

I don't think thats what they are getting at.
I enjoy reading the news on FR and conservative thoughts and responses. But no matter what my position was on certain NON CONSERVATIVE or NON POLITICAL issues, I was labeled a Nazi, a buddy of someone who has a conflict of interest and letting their wife die, a liberal because I dont like carpetbagging, self righteous camera hounds.....for starters
Who wants to waste time with people who have lost grip with facts and are letting emotions run their thought process?

I disagree.
The people taking themselves too seriously are the ones who allow no disagreement from fellow FReepers when these contentious issues come along, who have allowed their emotions to rule their reason, and who take a single issue and make it into the turning point for American history and all humanity.
