Mexican National Congress to introduce legislation to annex American lands
Mexico City Times (English) ^ | 4-1-05 | April O'Phule

Posted on 04/01/2005 9:04:26 AM PST by Dan from Michigan

In alarming news from Mexico City, members of the Congreso de la Union are pushing for annexation of lands in the American Southwest, due to perceived human rights violations.

Jorge Arbusto, an assembly member from Monterrey, introduced legislation which would annex parts of California, Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. If passed, this legislation would have Mexican citizens living in those states vote on returning these lands to Mexico.

"These are our citizens who are living in lands that belong to Mexico. These lands were stolen by those gringo dogs, and we have every right to own them. This is a nonviolent way we can take these lands back," Arbusto commented in a press conference this morning. When asked if the United States refuses. "If the citizens vote to secede, they have the right to do so, and our military will protect them if necessary. I prefer non-violence, but we will do what we have to do. The gringos there have freedom of movement, and can leave our lands at any time."

Another assembly member, Diego Lopez stated the following: "I wish it did not have to come to this. Out citizens are being denied the right to work. Americans depend on our citizens' labor for their economy. They need our people, and our people need employment. I would not have supported it, but those yahoo minutement are going to endanger the lives of our citizens, so we need to annex the land to protect them."

The Minutement are a group of American citizens armed with guns who will be patrolling the border to stop Mexican citizens from working to support their families. The gang MS-13 from El Salvador has threatened to "teach them a lesson". If there is a conflict, our Times reporters will be on the scene and issue a live report.

Both Presidente Fox and United States President George W Bush refused to comment to the Times about this legislation, or the minutemen.

Under Arbusto's bill, the annexed areas would be as follows:
California: San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Imperial Counties.
Arizone: Yuma, Pima, Santa Cruz, and Cochise Counties
New Mexico: Hidalgo, Luna, Dona Ana, Otero, Eddy, and Lea Counties
Texas: South of the Nuces River, city of El Paso.

Now how long would a war against Mexico take?

Does the DOD even have a contingency plan in it's many scenarios for a war against Mexico?

...and our military will protect them if necessary.

Arbusto has been in the cactus juice again. If they wanted the blue areas they might get support here in the US.

I live in west Texas (El Paso) and closing the border works for me. Seems to me that according to the history I was taught we already fought Mexico several times and won.

I thought El Paso was part of Mexico already.

The border seemed to have moved to Eagle Pass, about 150 miles inland on I-10.
