"He couldn't take the heat"

The man who put his reelection on the line by removing Saddam in defiance of virtually the whole world. I don't know the man. But, seems like, I'd like him in a fight.

If he stormed the hospice, he would be feeding into every stereotype the world has portrayed him as. How, does that effect his Presidency, and in turn, are major interests in the world?

The Pubs would likely lose the 2006 elections. How does that help our causes.

He couldn't garner support for his judicial nominees; how does that help our cause?

I expect him to save Terri. I'll lose respect for him if he doesn't. But, I think, he's trying to save her right now.

Sorry, as much as I respect the pres. for walking the walk against Saddam, he gambled on the success of the American military and that is bet that he is most likely to win. American presidents who successfully wage war usually do quite well at the polls.

he stormed the hospice, he would be feeding into every stereotype the world has portrayed him as. How, does that effect his Presidency, and in turn, are major interests in the world?

And THAT would have taken courage. He displayed little, as did Jeb Bush. Clinton went into little Havana in Miami with a fully armed tactical unit. He stuck a gun in a baby's face. I hated Clinton for it, but it displayed more guts than Pres. Bush did here. Furthermore, I am not alone among conservatives in my criticism of the president here.

If the the pubs lose the '06 election it will be because they did not take on the judiciary and effect real change. How can he impose his will on the judiciary if he will not take a stand? It is d*mned frustrating.

I fully expect him to let this woman die- hoping she will die quickly so the country's collective memory will forget and move on to another issue. Matter of fact, I bet most of the republicans in the senate are praying for exactly the same thing.

amen amen amen

We seem to've become people who think every move our politicians make will be told us by the media - maybe we got too used to a president who, for 8 years, could smell a camera a county away.

If anyone has been watching the Bushes at all, they'd know they don't grandstand, they don't hold a wet finger to the wind in order to make decisions.

They do most of their work quietly - and the MSM be damned.

I've seen Pres. Bush do things quietly, over and over - and stepping back and letting others shine.

People here scream about how Jeb supposedly "let the cat out of the bag" and called the judge to let them know the state protection agency was coming, under his orders, to get Terri and get her to a hospital - when it was the d*mn hospital, who had been alerted to get things ready to take care of her, that called the Judge!

Now they rant about how the Bushes aren't doing anything. So what is it? You want them to work quietly or telegraph?

I remember that Pres Bush has always been known as a great poker player - he holds his cards close - and if there's way to win, he will.

But he will not come out every day and grandstand on TV...
