I thought Lazenby was too stiff, physical yes, but not enough of the Bond mischief. Of course I'd be stiff to if I was in the movie with Diana Rigg LOL!

Incidentally, my favorite Bond was George Lazenby. I gotta say I really liked that movie. He definitely outclassed wooden Roger Moore and frickin Timothy Dalton!

I think Owen resembles George Lazenby a bit, but Connery will always be the man who invented the cinematic interpretation of James Bond.
Clive Owen is the best choice right now and I think much better than Eric Bana was said to have gotten the nod about a year ago.

You must have enjoyed the fight scene in the train compartment in From Russia With Love. Connery and Robert Shaw did their own work, and both were trying to out-tough-guy the other. Good stuff.
