Hey! I've been to Stanley Park! But that was long before I went digital.
Perhaps that contrail is inspiration for the ultralight ... he wants to make one someday when he grows up.
It's possible. I found a ton at Christmas Cove and Peterson Park on the Lelanau Tip. The best time to find them is in the spring when the ice pushes the stones up from the bottom.
Yes...it is a really majestic sculpture, one of the finest I have ever seen. People just pass it by and barely look at it, but every time I look at it, it reminds me of how lucky we were to have him...and how lucky we are!
Really love that lighthouse shot .. dramatic sky there.
I am a lucky guy. I am 47 years old, been around the world once by the time I was 14 (my dad was a navy veteran) then I joined myself.
I have seen the raging Atlantic north of the Arctic Circle from the flight deck of the USS JFK as the water was whipped white by the wind, and rode horses at a dude ranch in AZ. I have snorkeled in the reefs of the Phillipines and seen the Himalayas from an airliner. I have seen one-eyed beggars on the streets of New Delhi, the Red Light district in Hamburg, and slept a night at the hotel that sat between the Twin Towers.
I owe Uncle Sam for much of that, but I also owe my lovely wife, who likes to travel, when we can.
I live a great life, and if I get run over by a train tomorrow, I will have not one single regret! How lucky is that? And I am not rich. I am just a standard American with a high living standard. I consider myself blessed to live in this fabulous country. We are so damn lucky to live here.
Thank God for the Great State of Texas!!!!! You folks are great down there. I wish I had some of that Texas Gumption to dole out to some of these Massachusets politicians up here!
Yuba Lake, in Central Utah
Looks like a lot of fun. Bet the flag flies proud when you're out in the open water.
Life is an adventure!
Thanks for remembering your camera so we can tag along.
By the way, do you publish anywhere, Valerie? Beautiful work you have posted.
Very nice!! ;-)
They are pretty......I used to live in Paw Paw for a while and then was stationed up at Kincheloe AFB. That part of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior in the UP is awesome.
Stay safe !
