Happy Easter!
Last week the subject theme for the photography thread was Sunrise, wherein someone suggested that sunrises are better than sunsets. That sounds like a challenge to me!

Let's see if we can top the sunrise thread with some beautiful sunset shots.

Please post your bestest sunset photos here - your own work, please.

We had a FReeper meeting at Basil's house on Lake Travis to meet Jim Robinson. This is the sunset view from her balcony:

I remember the Oasis!
They had bizarre ducks wandering around the decks and after
about 9:00 or so there was a musician playing Django Rheinholt tunes.

The purple, blues and oranges were incredible. It was just after a gray, gloomy, rainy day too.

Here is the only sunset picture I remember taking. It was on the Free Republic Cruise II.

Apparently the fact that they serve drinks at the Oasis didn't escape you.

All digital the last 5 years. Love the instant gratification.

I tend to return to this spot often

Close. It's in northern West Michigan, around an hour from Traverse City.

I go to the UP and I've seen some amazing sunsets over Lake Superior.
Have you ever heard of Lake of the Clouds?
It's breathtaking. The colors in fall are spectacular.
Great hiking too.

Good one Drago!
Clouds sure make the sunset.. and some foreground interest helps with the composition
