Will Terri Bring America out of its Coma?
Vanity | 3/26/05 | bray

I have never been so proud of my Party as I am now. The Respect-life Party has gone to the ends for Terri Schiavo and there is no doubt as to where we stand. Sure there are some Rinoes who have stood with the Dinosaurs for Death, but the leaders of our Party have stood in the Breech for Life. We may lose the battle in Terri’s case, God Rest her Soul, but we have fought the War. There has never been a more transparent difference between the two Parties. The Leaders of our Party has ignored the Stone Age Press, an Out of Control Judiciary and Polls to stand by their Principles.

The Dinosaurs have to pretend that every issue has 82 shades of Grey including life and death. That is why they have to change the name of death to Vegetable, Brain dead, Fetus, Weed, Unwanted and the list goes on and on. The last thing they want Terri to be called is a human being or someone’s child, because that will make people think of this issue as killing. These people cry when their houseplant dies of not watering, yet they are perfectly happy to argue the value of killing a person of thirst or sucking a baby out of a mother. You cannot paint your shades of Grey when something is as simple as Life or Death. They have to use greys to hide their absence of values or core beliefs.

The DimRat Party has gone from the Happy Days in the 60's and 70's of Camelot and has followed the Bloody Road of Abortion to the modern days of Crash-a-lot. This is a dark day in America as we await the death of another innocent victim being sacrificed to their god of humanism. Any means justifies any ends when you color different shades of grey. It was ok to kill the Royal family of Russia to bring about Communism. The same for China, Vietnam, Cuba and Cambodia. It is ok to kill a baby as long as you are protecting the mother’s freedom to “choose.” In their warped view the very thing that makes women superior to men is what is holding them back, childbirth. It is fine to disgrace the office of President and the Country as long as he’s vetoing abortion bans. You can even throw a boy back to a brutal dictator after his mother drowned escaping, if you have enough paint. In their world any immoral act can be justified if it furthers their agenda.

The long march to amorality has brought us to the murder of a perfectly healthy woman to appease the god of assisted suicide. How much more Godless can we go?? Jesus said, how you treat the least of these is how you treat me. How appropriate that on the day of his crucifixion we are killing the least of us.

There could not be a more black and white case in America than the Schiavo case. If you have two people disagreeing on an issue you have to give them both some weight to their story. Even if Judge Greer Reaper assumes the husband is telling the truth, yet there is a 10% chance he is not; you have to err on the side of keeping Terri alive. This is a simple Black and White or in this case life or death. You always give every indifference to life because life is precious, even a vegetable’s, which she is not.

Our leaders in Congress, Gov Bush and President Bush have done everything they can do within the law. They cannot send in the troopers like Bull Reno and start a civil war between police. They have sworn a declaration to uphold the Constitution and it’s laws. We are not Democrats who will use any means, including force to forward an agenda. How anyone could predict that the steps that we have taken would be snubbed and they would not review this case is why we need moral judges. Her death for an agenda is going to forever stain our Country, laid at the feet of the Party of Death. They and the Libertarians have pushed for this death for the last 2 years and now they can enjoy their “victory.” This is one major reason many Americans could never belong to those Parties, for their immorality and amorality towards life.

We have done all we can for Terri and for that we should be proud of our leadership. They as we are having our hearts broken during this deep dark Easter celebration. God is in control and perhaps he needed America to have a lamp unto it’s feet to get back on the narrow path. Perhaps he needed to expose evil for evil and what you get when you turn your back to God. None of this exposure would have happened if Jeb and GW were not in power, although in the end they were powerless to stop this senseless killing. The Judicial Branch has no heart and has no humanity, only empty briefs. For that, a little girl in Florida is going to pay the final price while her Mom and Dad cry helplessly. We can only Pray for Terri, her Family and this once great Country. We can Pray that Jesus will Heal Her and Welcome Her with Open Arms into his Glory. Amen.

Pray for W and Terri’s Family

but the leaders of our Party have stood in the Breech for Life.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

And as soon as the enemy started to advance, they turned tail and ran. Some heros.

Standing in the breech, in case you don't know, means putting your life on the line, risking it all. Standing in the breech is not standing there until it looks like you might have to take a risk, and then running the other way.

Life is not an "agenda".

I recall another George who went against his Government and Courts, and helped found this (once-) great Nation.

Washington.

Where are the men of his stature today? I don't see them in any party.

No.

Our Once Great Nation's coma will deepen.

We who scream, unheard inside, will continue to scream, unheard inside.

In the end, the feeding tube on the living corpse of Our Once Great Nation will be withdrawn.

Only burial and slow decomposition will occur.

Speaking as a libertarian this is complete bs to attack the Republicans. It's just become known that in an apparent appeal window where a stay was automatic, Jeb Bush had people on their way to take Terri into custoday.

Outside of the problem that no hospital would reinsert the tube without a court order, Judge Greer saw the window that was open for a few hours and immediately vacated it.

This blanket condemnation of the Jeb Bush and the Republican party is complete garbage and I'm speaking as a registered independent.

You are right this exactly why Christ had to die; he said to his own apostles, the founders of the church:
"Ye of little faith"

And God bless Jeb GW, for they are mere humans
The world needs a savior and please don't count on politicians to help you they can only do so much.

I posted this yesterday, but I thought nI would post it again,

Just watched the Passion (of the Christ)for the first time.

Couldn't help but see the irony of old men in black robes, condemning an innocent man to death and the rabble chiming in: crucify him!
As Terri was condemned by the judges while others did not want to deal with this matter and others washing their hands off the whole matter.
And the rabble saying let her die; it is better that way.

Then the soldiers swatting away the cup of the lady who wanted to give Jesus a drink while he was carrying his cross through the streets of Jerusalem.
Enter a 10 year old boy named Joshua, arrested for trying to bring water to Terri.
And then Mary grieving as her son was dying on the cross and Terri's mother & father grieving for their dying daughter for all of us to see.
And the devil watching and waiting in the wings..

But then there is Easter morning and the Savior rises from the dead and the devil is defeated.

"In this world you will have trouble, but fear not for I have overcome the world"

So you think the GOP has gone to the limit? Not even close, consider the following actions:

1. Contempt of Congress for Judge Greer.
2. Hearings on Judicial abuses (they got time for baseball)
3. Cutting the budget for judicial staffing
4. Redistricting of the Federal Courts, Eliminate a few seats while creating new ones and you can give a few judges their pink slip.
5. Cut benefits to the judiciary.

None of these are beyond Congress's power, in fact they deal with these things all the time, they do not have to even go near impeachment. That would be the best course but the GOP is cowardly. No super majority is required, and hearings don’t even require even a simple majority since it is traditional to hold hearing to placate the minority. So why will we see none of the above?

I think they might be behind all of this. The Shiavo Solution to Social Security.

Welcome to the FATHERLAND.

I would however, I have a job and a mortgage to pay...I am sure others have the same reasons too. But then they scream and try to lay blame. THAT is where I have a problem.

Sorry, but saying this woman deserves a chance at life is one thing, but blaming Jeb is another altogether. The man has done everything he can. Let's just see who the parents end up blaming. It won't be Jeb Bush!!!

Sir, in no way would I suggest you not fufill your responsibilities to your family and those you love. I did not mean to suggest you not preserve your home.

What I was asking is that at the time of death which is imminent that you find some spare time to show our country and the world, your support for Terri.
If I was nearby I would join you. As I am not, I will await the expressions of the Terri's family on what form of protest to take.

I have a great deal of respect for Jeb Bush. I called his office earlier this week and managed to get through. I asked that he do his utmost and as I've just heard that during one legal window his people were on their way to save the poor girl.

He's done what he could and proven his heart to me. All I'm asking is that for so many of us that can't be there, that at the time of death, if at all possible you can stand for us there.

God Bless.

If he did anything like that you know there would be confrontation and very probable a violent one.
The opposition is as passionate about this as we are.
No need to creat a violent revolution.

Those of us who give a wit about Terri and the gruesome treatment she has received seem to be a small minority. I've got a spouse who could care less and is tired of hearing about it from me. Nobody talks about this where I work. The subject is actively avoided. This will make a huge difference to some of us, but to the vast majority, I don't think they really care all that much.

Not true, I would come back to the GOP in a heart beat if they impeached a judge, even a loosing impeachment of a Supreme Court Justice would serve notice to the pack. And there are lots of other options that would not require a single Demoncrat vote, hearings, budget and benefit cuts, redistricting the Courts and they (the Courts) can do nothing about those and a 50% plus one is all they need to win. They have that if the GOP wants it. They don't so they can drive the nation to Auschwitz it without me.

The Passion of Our Lord is being played out right before our eyes... and all the characters are there... and look and see how many go to the cross... not very many...

After this event, I'm afraid we lost the culture war...

I will fight the good fight, but I am afraid that we lost our country...

Some people are not prepared to face the difficulty of this or choose to feel it is a private matter run amok by government interference. One must consider the media in how they've presented this.

Here's a link posted on Drudge to the actions the Govenor was initiating on Terri's behalf. Can we stop the attacks on him now? There would have been deaths all over the place.
