im guessing an adapter should work, my radeon X800 XT uses an adapter and works fine. 6800 is a good card, what kind of computer. i.e Dell, gateway? or Clone.

It's an Alienware computer. I'm not sure where they get thier nvidia cards. I have been looking around, and every place I find just says DVI. Not -I, or -D. I found one site that said Nvidia only uses DVI-I, but the post was six months old.
