We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals has declined to order the reinsertion of Terri's feeding tube.
Pope John Paul II does not appear to be responding well to his medications.
A United States document indicates that a Al Qa'eda member being held in Guantanamo helped The Evil One evade capture by American forces during the assault on Tora Bora, Afghanistan. [EN--And liberals want to release the scumbags from Gitmo!]
And Camilla Parker Bowles, the fiancee of Prince Charles, has stated that she does not want to be Queen, even though by law she has the right.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain your in the Cause, the Chairman.

O how we American take pride in our Laws!--
while Justice is trampled in the streets.
We may not know all the facts, but this case surely raises enough questions that it must be heard -- just as the one dissenting judge in Atlanta said in his opinion. If Terri goes to her grave this week or next (even though it be a reward) with the facts in her case left ungathered, then her example will stand as indictment against us. She is voiceless now, but if she could speak, might this not be her indictment?
Terri's Indictment
I was hungry;
And you took out my feeding tube.
I was thirsty;
And you let me die.
I could not speak,
so you silenced me.
I asked for a trial
And you sentenced me to death.
I was the evidence you supressed;
Lord have mercy on your soul,
for this is the hour of your death.

I don't know what this "euthanasia, but not euthanasia" stuff these hospitals are perpetrating.
My father died today of congestive heart failure at 78 after never being in the hospital before. He had a mild heart attack a week ago, but we were immediately told his condition was "last stage" and they couldn't do any more, so my mother who is 82 was to go to the hospital to make arrangements for hospice care. Her appt was at 2:00 PM and he died at 11:30. They live in St. Louis and I fly in early tomorrow. Fortunately, my younger sister lives at home, and my daughter is dropping by this evening, so I know mom's in good hands until I get there.
Sheesh...the perfect end to the "perfect" day. I was on the phone talking to my mom about the arrangements, and the fire alarm went off...no drill...
Had to get off the phone and walk down 7 flights of steps (with bad knee) because the alarm disables the elevators.
Prayers are requested for Mom's peace...I know she hasn't slept much since he went into the hospital, and she has a mild heart condition herself. Sigh......

I tried it it worked for a while but if the water lays for a day or so you have ice again I suppose if I would have squeeged it off it would have helped.

When things happen that are too big for me to understand I read the Book of Job and Psalm 119. Sometimes over and over.
God knew Terri before she was born. Some day His purpose for her will be evident to all of us.

I woke up at 3:45 this AM to see what the 11th Circuit had done....
I couldn't go back to sleep, so I went to the living room and had a good cry.
I've cried off and on all day....and prayed...
..I especially cried when I saw the 69 yr old woman arrested.... and then, oh my mercy, a 10 yr old kid.
Every attempt to help her is failing...
I had strong hopes Jeb Bush would succeed, but the forces of evil have prevailed over every effort he has tried to make.
I know ultimately God is in control...
..but I think Terri will die on Good Friday....and I'm not alone in thinking this.
May God forgive us.

#86..Yes, I believe this too.
But it's horrifying watching the forces of good and evil in play.
If you don't think this isn't a battle in the heavenlies....think again!
We are witnessing it!

I am going to try to sign off soon for the day.
I've not posted here much, but with the information I've heard here and on radio, more and more I am convinced that Terri is being wronged -- I will never understand why HINO will not remand custody to her parents, unless he is worried she could recover and rat him out.
It will forever disturb me that Michael S. didn't bring to anyone's attention Terri's "wishes" "not to live this way" until after his seven years of working to get insurance money "to take care of her forever." Seems a mite strange to me that he forgot her wishes throughout that seven years.
MS -- the HINO -- is clearly not credible in MY court (if I had one... )
Somehow that one item goes to the whole heart of this case, and it seems to me that anything he has advocated or stated about Terri is wrong to admit as evidence. The fact that Judge Greer has not struck all such evidence, and never sought independent advice and fresh, modern testing on Terri's behalf leads me to believe he is not viewing this case with dispassion, and has become too strongly invested in her death by now to hear this case.
I honestly don't know what the outcome of such testing would be, but it seems very wrong to disallow it in the face of all the suggestive testimony that the other side has brought to the table, but that he has repeatedly struck. A new judge is needed - to save Greer from a place he has gotten himself into that he really can't budge from now.
I'm also disturbed by other FReepers personal anecdotes about their relatives being tantamount to killed by neglect in various senior and hospital facilities.
The funny thing is, that if HINO's supporters REALLY wanted THE COUP in this case, that they ought to graciously allow Terri's parents to take custody -- banking on their absolute faith that she'll always be a vegetable in decline -- and wait for the day the parents themselves ask the court for the right to end her life. Then they'll really be able to say, "we told you so".
I don't know how I'll handle her now probable death -- it is an incredibly disturbing time for me.

Thank you, lovely 'Nita, for your freepmail. I know Dad is in a better place; he was struggling to breathe these past few days and fighting the nurses about keeping the oxygen mask on his face,I guess he was claustrophobic.
Sigh....I know what mom is going through....I was widowed at the age of 30. Hubby was 34 when he died of a heart attack coming home from work. That was in 1981.....but the twinge is still there when I think of him......and current hubby understands that.

.....you know drink a few beers and save the world type visit.....wish I could join them.
Let me tell how this visit ought to go:
Species: Um, /John? You see, it's like this: I broke both my arms in about 10 places and I just can't seem to feed myself...and the doctor says that the ONLY diet I should get is very fine, haute French cuisine...but only fresh stuff, like...think you can help me out?????
/John: Just keep the beer flowin' and you are set!!! Any preference???
Species: Well, the Doc said something about...Coq au Vin...something like that....
/John: I see...you are really bad off, aren't you?
Species: OH! You have no idea! And he also said something about....flan????
/John: Oh, he did? You are worse than I thought!!!
Species: Oh, and, /John??? The Doctor said I had hypoglycemia and that the only remedy was....Creme Brulee...with Vermont Maple Syrup if ya don't mind....with the little torch thingy, not the broiler...think that would be doable????
/John: Yhe torch makes a difference, does it???
Species: Oh yes!!! It is VITAL!!!
OMG, the things I do for Medicine....
