It appears that Terri Schiavo is going to be starved and dehydrated. I don't see how it going to be stopped short of a kidnapping to save her life.
If we are to believe sworn affidavits, Michael Schiavo denied his beloved wife rehab, speech, and occupational therapy. Terri actually was able to drink from a baby bottle and ate pudding and jello. He threatened to fire a nurse if she got nourishment from anything but the feeding tube?
Why just the feeding tube? Because he could have that pulled and starve her to death. He had no interest in seeing that she learn to eat again.
A nurse has said that Terri was able to say "mommy," "help me," "hi," and express when she was in pain.
Terri is also being denied communion.
Michael thinks it is over when he has managed to starve and dehydrate her to death? No, Michael, I don't think so.
There will be a wrongful death suit filed of perhaps $20 million. The evidence will come out about the denial of rehab. Her broken bones will be investigated. Ultimately, Michael, some of the truth is going to see the light of day. You are not going to get away with it. Not in this life. Not in the next.
I think God would appreciate that kind of "lie".
Yeah, right.
It's okay to lie under oath?
I am a Vietnam combat vet with a disabled daughter. I have already killed and been prepared to die for things far less dear to me than my children. I would not stand by and allow my child to be starved to death by a philandering husband or any government officer.
I thank God that I am not in Mr. Schindlers position, but I would willingly go to my judgement before Him in the knowledge that I had acted per His wishes.
The Catholic Catechism, Section 2, Article 5, 2265
"Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others. The defense of the common good requires that an unjust aggressor be rendered unable to cause harm. For this reason, those who legitimately hold authority also have the right to use arms to repel aggressors against the civil community entrusted to their responsibility."
I think the biggest problem I have with this is that the one making the decision moved on with his life. If a couple is going through a horrific divorce with child custody, would it be right to have the other spouse in charge of a life and death decision? I don't know all the circumstances, but there sure is an odor in the room.
As a mother who has lost a son, Howlin, wouldn't you have lied under oath to save his INNOCENT LIFE if you could have?? If you say "NO" I will be SHOCKED!
IMO I wouldn't chance it, the nurse isn't credible. She's got a checkered past.
Thanks for your post.
uuhhh....Nope.
That's why it's called, perjury.
Michael's common law wife must be sooooo proud of her hubby. Hope she is never inconvenient to him. And his kids will be sooooo proud also!
I will not lie in court under ANY circumstances. Period. I respect the law and MY HONESTY more than that.
Be as shocked as you want to be, but why would you want to win with a lie? Remember who did that, Bill Clinton? I suppose you weren't shocked then, huh?
Apples and oranges...we are talking about LIFE and DEATH.
Judge James Whittemore washed his hands today.
I still wouldn't lie in a court of law.
How would you like to lose a case where somebody lied under oath?
A courtroom in Nazi Germany, you are saving Jews lives by hiding them in your home, and a Nazi lawyer questions you about it, and you say "Why Yes, I am hiding them, I cannot tell a lie". You STILL say you would not lie in a a court of law?
Sorry. I don't do the "Nazi" thing.
We aren't talking about a CASE...we are talking about saving your INNOCENT DAUGHTERS LIFE!!!
I would not lie UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
