I forgot to add. The vet said the infection she had is caused when a mare doesn't expell the afterbirth very fast and it hangs out of her and she gets up and down several times. It gets dirty and that gets inside her.
I didn't ask, but I'm wondering if this wouldn't have happened if she had been on pasture on grass.
I can't really remember if when she had Dot that she did that. Been to long ago. But it's something she said I don't have to worry about Rocky picking it up.

Good news all around then. Rocky is fine, Belle will be and can be bred this year with no ill effects from the infection.
Glad to hear this :) Also sounds like Rusty is doing okay too.

It gets dirty and that gets inside her... This is why my vet advised me to give Truly a shot of Occytocin right after birth. It cleans them out.
