That is so sad about the foals......I don't know what I would have done if something had happened to either mare or foals. It doesn't bare thinking about.....
It is a very nice swing, we got it from Lowe's (our second home) and it wasn't expensive. I am always out for a bargain, and when I saw it I dropped Clangers about how much I would surely LOVE a swing like that! It worked! : D
What with being so busy this past year, we haven't had a moment to put it up, but when deaconjim asked me what I wanted this year and I said my swing put up.......I got it! : D You can see for miles, I can see the horses, the pool, the kids swing set, the dog run etc. It is so peaceful and because it is so very high up, mosquito's don't appear to be a problem.

I love porch swings:), My grandparents had one. They had one of those big high front porchs that faced a busy street. I loved sitting out there on the swing and watch traffic go by. My cousins and I liked to get it going so high we could touch the ceiling with our feet:). I use to sit on that swing for hours, and sing:)
We have one of those swings that are on a stand with a canopy on our patio surrounded by my garden. I sit out there alot in the mornings and evenings watching the hummingbirds.. Altho, I do miss my coffee now out there in the mornings.

because it is so very high up, mosquito's don't appear to be a problem... I've noticed that too. I wonder if mosquitos have some kind of altitude limitation. They don't seem to come out over the water either. I live close to the Tennessee River and when I've been out on a boat at night there weren't any mosquitos. Strange.
