I love porch swings:), My grandparents had one. They had one of those big high front porchs that faced a busy street. I loved sitting out there on the swing and watch traffic go by. My cousins and I liked to get it going so high we could touch the ceiling with our feet:). I use to sit on that swing for hours, and sing:)
We have one of those swings that are on a stand with a canopy on our patio surrounded by my garden. I sit out there alot in the mornings and evenings watching the hummingbirds.. Altho, I do miss my coffee now out there in the mornings.

I did get Rusty's 15 minutes in today. I slid a like a 2x4 under each end of the cavaletti's to raise them just a bit. You think I'm pushing too much. I just don't see how that little bit of exercise every other day is going to do anything. He is doing it fine, no lock up's.

With nary a thought about what would happen if one or both of the screws pulled out. I wouldn't have either, but it gives me the shakes thinking about it now. I did the same kind of careless things when I got my first horse. I thought nothing about riding him down the side of a busy 4-lane highway, across bridges no less! I've always heard that God looks out for children and fools. I don't know which category I qualified for since I was 20 yrs old, but he was definately looking out for me! ;o) It's a wonder I lived to adulthood. There's no way I'd even THINK about doing that now!
